The 2nd Edition of Tenor Battle for Roses 3.10.2015 r
Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio . 7 p.m.
On 3 June 2015, at 7 p.m., at Concert Hall of Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio the Tenor Battle for Roses will take place. It is also an occasion to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Foundation of Jan Kiepura Mazovian Musical Theatre. It is already a second edition of this remarkable artistic event. The concert will be held with the accompaniment of the orchestra. Four pre-eminent tenors will fight for the platinum rose as well as for the Best Tenor title – the tenor that is the closest to the Jan Kiepura’s ideal. The amazing and unique of its kind opera Divas will perform along with the tenors. The winner will be chosen by the audience through the roses vote. The concert program consists of Italian and Spanish pieces, operatic arias, duets with Divas and spectacular tenor cadences. TVP2 assumed the patronage over the concert. The event will be live broadcast.
The following gifted tenors will participate in the battle: Tomasz Krzysica, Jakub Gąska, Emil Ławecki and Jinxing Tan. The amazing and unique of its kind opera Divas will perform along with the tenors: Aleksandra Novina-Chacińska, Joanna Moskowicz, Agnieszka Piass and Alicja Węgorzewska.
The Orchestra of Mazovian Musical Theatre will conducted by Warcisław Kunca.
The concert will be hosted by Alicja Węgorzewska and Jerzy Snakowski.
