Operetta’s Folly – Alicja Węgorzewska and Paweł Skałuba – 28th of February 2016

Today, the main theme of the Jerzy Snakowski Operetta Folly was a dance.

Dance in the operetta. Along with the audience we passed through the ravishing waltzes, czardas and can-can dances.

The public had a chance to listen to the remarkable hit songs performed by Alicja Węgorzewska and Paweł Skałuba. The performance of the little bit forgotten song from the operetta  Granichstaedten by Orłowski was quite a surprise to the audience.

That day was exceptional not only because of the stars that were present during the concert but also because of Ms. Alicja Węgorzewska birthday, the Director of MTeatr. The audience sang beautiful birthday song 100 lat and then thanked for the concert with the ovations.

In a concert programme we could hear the songs from the following operettas: Countess Maritza, The Gypsy Baron, The Land of Smiles, Gypsy Love, Carmen, bravura duets from The Gypsy Princess – Tłumy Fraków and Pokochaj mnie from the “Charm of La Boheme”.
